Revising science skills and knowledge on a computer has never been so much fun!
In stunningly motivating maze-worlds such as School World, Industrial World, Scally's World and Blocko World, pupils win points, clear obstacles and outwit other players by correctly answering multiple-choice revision questions on four topics: Scientific Enquiry, Life Processes & Living Things, Materials & their Properties and Physical Processes.
With enough points to exit a maze, they can tackle another or test their Science skills in one of six puzzles: Feel the Force (forces and physics), Laser Lab (angles and properties of light), Mixture Magic (separating mixtures), Living Pinball (investigation and classification), Thingamajig (identifying equipment) and Short Circuit (light bulbs and batteries).
Pupils’ work is tracked, worksheets can be printed, further question sets can be added to the computer-generated ones and pupils can even compare their progress on the ‘High Scores’ table.

Bett Award Winning Software Programme. Highly Recommended. Winner of the BETT 2006 Primary Science Software award, Simulation Explorer is a superb program for introducing children to computer simulations. Six fun activities have been designed. Children can explore the six simulations, make changes to the conditions and observe the results. All the tests that children carry out within the program are recorded and can be viewed at any time.Additional worksheets help children evaluate the simulations and identify the rules an patterns on which they are based.
